“Ha!” God Said

You know that quote that says "Man plans and God laughs"?

You do?

Great! Cos I’ll tell you what, God has been having a cruise for the past two days now.

I’m to travel soon, so I’ve sort of been trying to put things in order before my journey, planning where to be, when to be there, who to be there with, what to do when I get to so and so place and how to seal the show.

And honestly, it doesn't take much for all the pieces in my head to fall in place just as I've designed them to, but…

The universe was like "Whaaaaat? That's too easy. Let's give you some inconveniences to spice things up".

Sidenote: I'm of the opinion that she said that with a Chinese accent.

So all the pieces in my head have, well, so much been pieces and I've had to struggle to pick them up to put them, not so much in place, but they're glued up somewhere.

I'm surprised I haven't cried out of exhaustion yet, but I guess that's what happens when you're excited about what will happen that you don't give room to feel whatever emotions come along in the process.

Oh, also, my story for a contest wasn't picked.

"Again?"

Yeah, I know. Kinda makes one wonder if I can truly write or if my thoughts are the best things I know how to write.

That's shitty thinking tho, cos I do know how to write, and I'm only getting to the level where intellects will sit and dine while discussing or referencing something I wrote.

It's just a matter of time now.

I wish they sent a review telling me why I didn't win, but I'll tell you what I think.

For the contest, we were supposed to highlight the spiritual significance of Christmas.

Speaking frankly, I didn't exactly highlight that in my story, Lucy's Saving, but as I told a friend of mine…

"I'm thinking, love is a God thing and Christ came as the prince of peace right, so that's what should be celebrated".

Honestly, you'll see my point when you read it, and it's a pretty good story too.
