Titleless 🤷‍♀️

Took her on a date
On the first night after she said yes
It was an old town restaurant
And we sat behind the café
A Kenny Rogers song was playing
But it was she who sang in my ears.

Our order came up
It was a cheap burger, some fries, and a bottle of coca cola
As she ate gently from her plate I said
"I wish I could give you more, cos it's what you deserve.
Wish it's only blue skies over us and you'll be the sun.
Wish I could buy you a hectare so you could plant roses.
Wish I could give you a little paradise here on earth and we'll live happily forever".

She touched my chin and held my eyes in her smile
Then she said,
"Who needs blue skies when I've got you? Who needs roses when I have love?
Who needs paradise when... when I've got us?"
