"What Have You Been Up To?"

I have a friend who constantly asks me this, and to him I’m grateful. Shoutout to Emmanuel Mbah!

However, recently, due to some experiences, I've adopted the habit of keeping my life to myself, which is not exactly a way to appreciate a person who cares to know what's up with you.

You can hate, but like you, I'm not perfect so…

But what really have I been up to?

I mean, I stopped writing here, so I must have been up to something, right?

Right!

However, it was not whatever I was up to that kept me away. It was pure, and genuine laziness and indiscipline.

What I've been up to tho, did include a lot of writing.

Writing what I like to call poetry (I say this cos I'm not confident I should call them that), reciting them in the form of spoken words poetry like this reel I did, writing stories for publications, actually submitted my first story last month, and I started a small business selling potato chips, yayyy!

The business part is the second highlight of this year for me, the first being going home in May, after three years.

Wow, it looks great, right? My life, I mean.

Probably…or not.

Did I also mention that I’ve been disrespected and humiliated in the name of a supposed relationship? Or that I’ve been extremely broke, or that I got a job but couldn’t do it because it’ll keep me away from going back home to a mother I haven’t seen in three years, until May of course, that I owe a couple of people, and finally, that I’ve consciously and subconsciously segregated myself from all the people I used to know, and this has nothing to do with hormones!!!

Oh, also, I finished a John Grisham's book, 'The Racketeer', you may have read it too.

Well, those are what I've been up to. Those and rewatching old movies, scrolling through X, and sleeping.
